Britteny is the owner and stylist at Kurlykoils. She has held her cosmetology license since 2007 and has been primarily focusing on natural hair since 2015.

Britteny completed her Level 1 DevaCurl course in 2016. She received her certificate in March 2016 after traveling to New York City. She is also a certified stylist with Curly Hair Artistry (CHA). She received that certification after traveling to Washington DC in May 2018. Britteny obtained a certificate of completion for the course “Cut It Kinky”, a hands on training for tight curls in October 2018 and October 2019.

Pursuing her true passion, educating, has been Britteny’s primary focus for 2022. She taught with Mastering Curls Worldwide, on a trip to Cuba November of 2019, course for CHA in September 2021 and is currently a mentor stylist with Cut it Kinky.

Britteny has always had a passion for hair and as an adult her mission has blossomed into helping others find beauty in their own hair. Britteny is a perfectionist and aims to please all her clients. Many clients travel across the state of Indiana for their appointment and it is always a humbling experience. Future endeavors include hosting classes for stylist wanting to learn curly techniques!
