Frequently Asked Questions

How should I come in if I'm getting a Devacut or a Dry Cut?

If you are receiving a Devacut, the best way to come in is with 2 or 3 day hair (wash n go). You may use product on your hair, but make sure that I’m able to separate the curls easily. If you use Devacurl, you are good to go. Please don’t come in with wet hair, it totally defeats the purpose. No ponytails or buns.

Do you do children's hair?

Yes, but every child is not ready to come to the salon. If your child cries uncontrollably or screams, I will stop the service and there will not be a refund.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept card, cash and Chase Quick-pay. Cash is preferred!

I only see cuts on your services menu, do you trim hair too?

Cuts and trims are the same thing. If you want your hair cut curly, select the dry cut or Devacut. If you want me to cut your hair straight, schedule a blowout and type in the notes that you would like a trim.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

There will be a $25 charge for cancellations if not cancelled 24 hours before your appointment. No call, no shows will not be serviced again.

Do you do consultations?

Consultations are included with every service. You are also welcome to schedule a free consultation to discuss hair needs. I don’t discuss hair needs over the phone, through text or DM’s. Please schedule a consultation so I can see your hair and make recommendations. Scheduling a consultation is recommended before all color services.

What is the difference between a dry cut and a Devacut?

Both of these services are a cut done on dry hair. The Devacut includes a cleanse, condition, and styling products. Dry cuts are for clients who normally wear their hair as a wash n go. Devacuts are for newer clients or clients who need hydrating tips.

Do you have a detangling fee?

If your hair is matted or dreaded I will not be able to service you. If your hair takes longer than 30 minutes to detangle, there will be a $25 fee by the hour.

Do you take down braids or sew ins?

I do not take down braids or sew ins. If you are coming in for a cleanse and set, please come in with your hair ready to be cleansed.

If I am running late, what should I do?

If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, please text me. If you are 30 minutes late, I will not be able service you and a $25 fee will be assessed. Please try to be on time!

Can I bring a guest with me during my service?

Due to limited space in my loft, I would prefer if you didn’t bring a guest with you. If you do bring a guest, please only bring one person with you.
